Fishing Rules & Regulations
- Opening hours are from 7am till dusk daily.
- DAY TICKETS to be paid for at reception (by card or correct cash only).
- Each individual angler (junior or adult) must purchase a day ticket at the standard rate (£10/junior, £12 adult), which permits that angler to use up to two rods.
- Note that a day ticket does not cover two anglers with one rod each - each ticket covers just one angler only (adults and juniors alike).
- Each and every angler over the age of 12 must have their own rod licence, which is the responsibility of the angler (or guardian in the case of minors) to obtain in advance via any of the available channels - either online here, or at the post office. You will be asked to produce rod licenses when purchasing day tickets, and unfortunately, we will have no option but to refuse the right to fish if you cannot produce the applicable licences at that point.
- No fish kill.
- All anglers must bring and use a landing net and padded unhooking mat.
- All nets, slings, and unhooking mats must be dipped before starting to fish.
- All fish must be returned to the water as quickly as possible, by way of using your landing net only.
- Never stand up or move around with a fish in your hands – when photographing fish, hold the fish over and as close to your unhooking mat as is possible.
- Barbless hooks only - of maximum size 6.
- No sea fishing tackle to be used.
- No braided mainline.
- No fixed leads – all lead must run free in the event of a break off.
- No leadcore leaders.
- No unattended rods – anglers must remain within 5 metres of cast rods at all times. No equipment whatsoever to be left at the swims outside of the opening hours (i.e. overnight), even if you have booked a swim for consecutive days.
- No fishing from the bridges.
- Leave no litter.
- Note that we will, without hesitation or exception, take the full extent of legal action available to us against any persons found to be killing or removing fish from any of the waters at Blacklands Farm.
- Please report anyone breaking the rules to the bailiff on 07861 618888. We will of course respect your right to anonymity in doing so.
