Fishing is only available for guests booked to stay on the campsite. No walk-ins.
Off peak, all campsite arrivals are met by a warden, at which point, you can purchase fishing tickets. In the main season when reception is open, all anglers must purchase fishing tickets at reception.
Note that it is not permitted to set up on any swim without having first obtained valid tickets, which cannot be purchased directly from the fishing wardens found in attendance around the lakes on busier dates.
Each and every angler aged 13 and over is required by law to have their own rod licence, which is the responsibility of the angler (or guardian) themselves to obtain in advance.
Licenses can be purchased either online here, or in person at the post office.
You will be asked to produce rod licenses when purchasing day tickets, and unfortunately, we will have no option but to refuse the right to fish if you cannot produce the applicable licences at that point.
Regular fishing hours are from 7am to dusk daily.
Night fishing is currently not available.
